The "shooting script" for TRIGGER LAW (Monogram, 1944)

After the demise of Monogram's Trail Blazers series, Bob Steele and Hoot Gibson paired up and did three films at Monogram under a production setup headed by veteran Lindsley Parsons. The threesome are: MARKED TRAILS (Monogram, 1944), THE UTAH KID (Monogram, 1944), and the lost/missing TRIGGER LAW (Monogram, 1944). After these were completed, Gibson retired and Steele went to PRC for a series.

Tom Quick acquired a shooting script for the lost/missing TRIGGER LAW. And I thought that it would be interesting to show selected pages from that script for those who have never seen one.

If you'd like to see more details on TRIGGER LAW, go to the Internet Movie Database at: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037397/fullcredits
Victor Hammond is credited for the script/screenplay: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0358789/
and Vernon Keays was the director: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0444217/

Below is the cover with a notation about Lindsley Parsons being producer and the working title for TRIGGER LAW was FRONTIER FRAMEUP. Note the penciled in name of Bob Steele on the cover ... which probably means this was Steele's copy. In the bottom left corner, the word "corrected" is also written in pencil.

Below is the first page of the script which includes details about scene 1 along with an opening legend or scroll that introduces the story which is set in 1870 Arizona. Read the legend ... and you may want to do a dictionary check on the words "EMPOVERISHED" and "TRECK".
